Shepard Fairey

I wanted to do the street artist Shepard Fairey for my collage project. I got to use a lot of his designs and even some spray paint on it. Here are some of them in various stages.

And here is my favorite and final one.

Monster Process

I started sketching stuff and came up with my gangly monster.

Mark Sheppard

Illustrator Mark Sheppard came and talked to us in class and did a demonstration. He is really incredible!

Monsters!

What do these things have in common? Well I don't know yet but for my monster illustration I am thinking about the body of a bear, head of an elephant, tail of a squirrel with a prosthetic wheel for an arm that he rolls on. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Eye Illustration using Dry Point Graphite Technique

Here is the somewhere in the middle of my eye illustration. I transferred the eye from a photo and then used the outline of it to start the dry point technique. Here is a photo of it about halfway done.

Here is the final product after some more darkening and some blending.
